This past year, we have seen fires in the west, flooding in the south, hurricanes, tornados, and the need for food distribution because of the pandemic. Catholic scouts have stepped forward to help those in need. I would like to recognize those units that have responded to these disasters by giving them this special patch. This patch cannot be purchased but rather given to those scouts that have earned it.
To receive the 3.5” patch with button loop, the Catholic unit must write up an article on who they are, unit, parish, city, and state, and who they helped during the crisis. The who, what, where, and when article with pictures should be at least 100 words in length. Approvals should be obtained for any scouts in the pictures. We would like other scouts, priests, and bishops to hear your story.
Please email the article with pictures to the NCCS Administrator at elizabeth.olivas@scouting.org. We will need the count of scouts and leaders that participated in the project, not how many are registered with the unit. You must include the name and address of the leader we should send the patches. Please present at your next Court of Honor. Thank you for helping others in need.
